In certain story styles, particularly shounen manga, antagonists play a crucial role. For a shounen manga to be remembered, it has to include a strong adversary as well as a strong protagonist. Jujutsu Kaisen, one of the most well-liked Shounen manga series in recent memory, is a fantastic illustration of that. We will talk about the antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen today.
Jujutsu Kaisen had unprecedented success last year. The series is more popular than ever, with ground-breaking reviews for both the manga and the anime. Its enemies are a major contributing factor to that. Jujutsu Kaisen has consistently produced excellent antagonists that keep both the heroes and the audience on their toes.
Gege Akutami hinted that Jujutsu Kaisen will end this year when he said during Jump Festa 2023 that it was his final Jump Festa while the comic was still ongoing. We made the decision to rank the most formidable Jujutsu Kaisen Villains we have yet seen in this anime as the conclusion draws near.
Characters that played adversarial roles at first but eventually turned into allies of our heroes are not included in this list. Therefore, this list does not include characters like Kashimo, Higuruma, or Choso. Here are the top 15 most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen Villains.
Top 15 Powerful Villains of Jujutsu Kaisen
15) Eso and Kechizu
Beginning our list of Jujutsu Kaisen’s greatest villains are two characters that, had they lived, had the potential to develop into more than just villains. Choso’s younger brothers, Eso and Kechizu, are two Cursed Womb: Death Paintings. They battle at Yasohachi Bridge with Yuji and Nobara.
The Rot Technique and Decay are two of Eso and Kechizu’s Innate Cursed Techniques. They can shower their victims with the festering blood they receive using the Rot Technique, which can lead to poisoning and decomposition. They can use Decay to deliver a lethal poison to their targets that will kill them in a matter of seconds.
14) Kurourushi
Next comes Kurourushi, a specific kind of cursed spirit that was created out of people’s animosity for cockroaches. It engages in combat with Yuta twice in the Culling Game, defeating him once in their initial encounter.
Kurourushi can summon enormous, man-eating cockroaches thanks to his CT, Cockroach Manipulation. It uses a cursed weapon called The Festering Life Sword, which allows it to inject its opponents with cockroach eggs, and it has an unknown Domain Expansion.
13) Naoya Zenin
Naoya Zenin is one of the most formidable antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen and one of the few well-known jujutsu sorcerers. He is the son of Naobito Zenin, the patriarch of the Zenin family, and a unique grade 1 sorcerer. In addition, Naoya is the head of Hei, the family’s elite assassination squad.
Projection Sorcery, his father’s CT, has been passed on to him. He dies and is resurrected as a cursed ghost, stronger than before. He possesses a Domain Expansion called Time Cell Moon Palace as a curse.
12) Hanami
Kenjaku’s gang is partnered with Hanami, an unregistered special-grade cursed spirit that was born out of humankind’s innate fear of land-based calamities. They confront Gojo in Shibuya after invading the Tokyo Jujutsu High during a goodwill event with the Kyoto Jujutsu High. Hanami’s power as a special-grade curse is immense.
They can use the surrounding vegetation both offensively and defensively because of their CT. The Ceremonial Sea of Light is the official name of their domain expansion, which is never disclosed in the narrative.
11) Dagon
Dagon is the most subdued and silent member of Kenjaku’s group. Dagon is a powerful unregistered special-grade cursed ghost. He is first a cursed womb that manifests in Shibuya as his actual form.
With the use of his water-based CT, Dagon is able to call an endless supply of fish-shaped Shikigami. The Horizon of the Enticed Skandha is the name of his Domain Expansion. Dagon battles Maki, Naobito, and Nanami and easily defeats them.

10) Jogo
Jogo is the second character in the story to battle Gojo and give the audience their first glimpse of the Six Eyes. He is a special-grade cursed spirit that is unregistered and has joined forces with Kenjaku to usher in a new era of curses.
Jogo has a strong CT that gives him mastery over lava and fire. Coffin of the Iron Mountain is the name of his Domain Expansion, while Maximum: Meteor is the name of his ultimate technique. Sukuna himself has recognized Jogo’s strength.
9) Takako Uro
When Kenjaku starts the Culling Game, he brings back a number of former curse users, including Takako Uro. She was once the head of a formidable organization of assassins that employed curses.
Takako’s CT, or Sky Manipulation, is a special method that lets her reshape and alter space anyway she pleases. She also possesses a Domain Expansion, and when they are interrupted, she is ready to engage Yuta and Ishigori in a three-way domain war.
8) Ryu Ishigori
One of Jujutsu Kaisen’s most formidable enemies is Ryu Ishigori, another incarnation of an ancient curse user. He engaged Yuta and Takako Uro in a three-way combat, but their duel is unfinished.
Ishigori can shoot tremendous bursts of cursed energy out of his pompadour using his CT, Energy Discharge. Unknown to us, he also has a domain expansion.
7) Mahito
This ranking of the greatest villains in Jujutsu Kaisen also includes the most evil adversary of the series. Kenjaku’s crew includes Mahito, an unregistered special-grade cursed spirit.
Being a relatively young curse, he is still getting to know his abilities. However, he has a lot of promise. He quickly became proficient in Black Flash, his Domain Expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection, and his CT: Idle Transfiguration.
6) Yorozu
The ancient curse user Yorozu takes on the form of Tsumiki Fushiguro when Kenjaku starts the Culling Game. She was enamored with Sukuna because she knew him in the past and thought she was the only one who could love him.
She can control her cursed energy to build anything she knows how to create thanks to her CT of Construction. Yorozu’s Domain Expansion, dubbed Triple Affliction, makes use of the extremely potent True Spheres with a guaranteed hit.
5) Suguru Geto
Jujutsu Kaisen features some extremely well-written adversaries in addition to some very strong ones. Suguru Geto, the curse user who invaded Tokyo Jujutsu High and started the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Kyoto and Shinjuku, is a prime illustration of that.
Geto, who defected in his third year, was previously a classmate of Gojo and Ieiri. Later, he became the leader of a cult that intended to exterminate every common person in Japan. Because of his Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Geto is one of the four special-grade sorcerers.
4) Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro stands out on this list of cursed people and spirits since he is neither of them. Toji was given the Heavenly Restriction, which grants him extraordinary physical strength, later in life despite being born into the Zenin family and having zero cursed energy, which prevented him from seeing curses.
Equipped with his exceptional strength, enchanted weaponry, and astute tactical awareness, Toji is a formidable opponent. In his youth, he battled and defeated Gojo and Geto, nearly killing Gojo before the young man was able to regain consciousness. Additionally, Toji vanquished Dagon—a special-grade cursed spirit—quite easy.

3) Uraume
One of Sukuna’s most loyal disciples and one of the most formidable adversaries in Jujutsu Kaisen is his human servant. A millennium ago, Uraume was selected to serve Sukuna because of their skill in preparing human flesh. They currently work with Kenjaku to restore Sukuna to his former self.
Ice Formation, Uraume’s CT, enables them to create and work with ice. They are powerful enough to compete head-to-head with Yuki Tsukumo, Yuji, Choso, and the Kyoto students. Their most recent battle with Hakari also attests to their might.
2) Kenjaku
One of the series’ most formidable villains is also the most shady guy in Jujutsu Kaisen. Kenjaku is a former user of an old curse who now inhabits the corpses of other jujutsu practitioners in order to live a parasitic life. He currently inhabits Suguru Geto’s body.
In addition to enabling him to occupy a corpse, Kenjaku’s CT also grants him access to his vessel’s memories. Furthermore, even in the event that he leaves the body, he keeps the CT. Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation is currently his go-to CT.
1) Ryomen Sukuna
The most formidable adversary in Jujutsu Kaisen is the one that everyone anticipated: Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Not only is Sukuna the most formidable antagonist in the series, but she was also the first one revealed. Sukuna has nearly returned to his previous level of power and has finally obtained his own body after having to share it with Yuji and Megumi, respectively.
For a very long time, Sukuna and Gojo were at odds over who was stronger. Now that Sukuna has emerged as the series’ strongest character, the answer is evident. Even though he was previously incredibly strong, he has attained a level that no one can possibly match after reclaiming his body.
Here we wrap up our list of the top 15 most powerful villains in Jujutsu Kaisen to date. There will always be a stronger enemy than Sukuna, even if more are revealed later in the narrative.
